KILLER 1990 PRS, Once owned by John Couger Mellencamps guitarist Mike Wanchic. Originally purchased from his official Reverb store in 2018. Its a players grade BEAUTY, this color doesnt come around all that often. Plays and sounds AWESOME. Couple of very small dings and dents, some buckle rash on back, other than that, zero problems. This PRS McCarty was part of the private collection of John Mellencamp's quitarist Mike Wanchic & Echa Park Studios. Honoring guitar design legend Ted McCarty, the PRS McCarty premiered in 1994. The model was renamed McCarty l1 in 2007 which brought a new Mastering Voice Control circuit system. hile similar in shape and design ta the Custom 24 and PRS Standard, the McCarty featured a slightly thicker body and neck profile, as well as a different pikcups Like most PRS guitars, the highly customizable nature of the McCarty has created a good deal of variation with these quitars. This PRS is in very good shape. Was used by Mike for a short while. but he found himself not playing it nearly as often as it deserved. Fast forward to your opportunity to pick this up on Reverb Neck is straight and true. This could use some tightening of the electronics as the tone knob is currently not as tiaht on the pot as it could or should be.
