Made in the early 60s in Victoria, this beautifully hand crafted jazz guitar is the epitome of vintage Maton manufacturing and is a truly magnificent piece of Australian guitar history.
All original. Rare natural wood finish.
Original Maton single coil pickups as well as original volume, tone and jack socket, the electronics are completely untouched and in perfect working order.
Plugged in, the pickups generate an incredibly warm, vintage tone that cannot be replicated through any process other than authentic aging. The perfect instrument player looking for the best in vintage tone.
The guitar is free from any structural cracks, breaks or repairs. Frets are at 95% and it has a nice, comfortable action and great intonation. This has hardly been played. Comes with case that I think is original.
