Here’s a Gibson Custom Shop Historic Les Paul Custom 3-Pickup with Factory Bigsby from 2000, the whole package: case and all.

It’s a nice rounded C not thick like a ’57, I dare say a tiny bit thicker 59 style of C, it’s not ‘58 thick. “Medium” If that’s sensable. Triple ‘57 Classic Pickups, Bigsby B7 Tailpiece.

The lacquer is chipping at the binding at multiple spots, the back has a good amount of buckle rash, some chips, dinks, wood taken out; nothing major. The gold hardware has multiple spots where it’s turned white and patina’ed. This is a “Very Good” players grade instrument. No breaks, no cracks, nothing to damage the integrity of the guitar. Real play wear and naturally rolled fingerboard edges from 26 years of usage.

The middle pickup is wired like Peter Frampton’s, very versatile middle pickup wiring. The bridge tone knob becomes useless and the rhythm is a master tone for this ”mod”. It‘s really nice.

The Bigsby stays in tune very well when slotted correctly; which is following the curvature of the tuners not the bridge position like this ~~> \\\ ///, obviously not so split in the middle. But that’s optimal position or atleast with my choice Pure Nickel strings.
