BBE AM-64 American Metal 2000s - Black
Our users rate Reverb
The BBE AM-64 American Metal is a discontinued, high-gain distortion pedal previously offered as a Guitar Center exclusive. Designed to capture an American hard-rock tone, it features Gain, Level, Low, and High EQ controls.
Tone & Characteristics
Despite its "metal" namesake, the AM-64 is notoriously polarizing in the guitar community.
The Sound: It is frequently described as having a crisp, less-compressed, and somewhat fizzy character. Many players find it excels more at vintage '70s and '80s hard rock rather than modern, scooped-mid metal tones.
