A simple, useful signal monitor for your pedalboard.

Every guitarist has experienced the moment:

You turn everything on…

Hit a note…

Silence.

With this pedal in your chain, a quick glance tells you immediately whether signal is present at that point in your rig.

Suggested placement:

Right after your instrument – monitor your raw guitar signal

End of your effects chain – confirm signal leaving your board (my personal favorite use)

Adjustable Sensitivity: Inside the pedal is a 25 turn trim potentiometer that allows you to adjust meter sensitivity. Clockwise for lower signal voltage, counter-clockwise for higher signal voltage.

Range: ~30mV - 1.25V pk-pk

If you'd like, I can also tune the meter to a specific mV reference level at the time of purchase — just send a message with your request.

This VU Meter pedal is tuned so 0dB corresponds to roughly a 150mV guitar signal, which works great for a typical dry, non-boosted guitar output. It gives you a quick visual reference of your signal level while playing.

This is not a precision measurement device — it's meant to be a practical, always-on utility pedal that lets you see what your signal is doing in real time with no tonal changes or signal lose.

Build Details:

10M Ohm input impedance.

Compact VU meter pedal format built in a 1590A enclosure (92mm x 38mm x 30mm)
