There are a ton of details that I am going to include here. Please read everything to understand fully. Please only buy this if you are experienced with this model of MPC and ideally have the ability to fix these issues or skill to workaround the problems.
I acquired this vintage MPC and it is highly customized, but has issues that will need repair or at the very least some workarounds.

* The MPC starts up fine if you take the cd drive out before starting it. The drive comes right out, no issues. The cd drive does not read cds. Most people are not sampling from cd’s, so that is not a major issue in my opinion

* There are two buttons that I know need to be repaired. The F1 button and Bank D buttons. The workaround for the F1 button is, you can plug a footswitch in and assign the footswitch to toggle F1. I made a video on how to do this on Youtube. You can assign the footswitch to trigger several different buttons. There are many cheap footswitches you can buy. “F1” is an important button when you are making beats.

* The “6“ button on the numeric pad needs to be pressed harder than the other numeric buttons.

There is some scratching on the bottom which is photographed. Some dust, some wear as well. Some of the rubber feet on the buttom are not aligned fully.

Cosmetically, this MPC has a very unique look. It would be a beautiful centerpiece for almost any set-up in my opinion.

Positive Attributes:

- This MPC has JJ0S. The version is photographed.

- It has 128MB

- Customized by 16 Squarez

- Has custom black and white display on screen

- Comes with a CF card

- Comes with an aftermarket power supply

- Has custom black knobs and buttons

- Has purple lights under several buttons

Please look through photos and turn brightness up on your phone screen to see as many details as possible.

I have tested as much as I know how to. There could be things I am overlooking. This is sold as described. I use a lot of music gear but I am not super experienced with vintage MPC’s. Keep that in mind and ask any questions you have. Please only buy if you are experienced and knowledgeable about these. I would love for this to go to someone who will put it to use and fix it up.

The video I made of how to use a footswitch to trigger the function of an inoperable button is linked below.
