Ibanez has long been a name synonymous with quality and innovation in the guitar world, catering to players of all skill levels. From beginners picking up their first instrument to seasoned professionals demanding peak performance, Ibanez strives to deliver exceptional sound, style, and playability across its entire range. The Standard series embodies this philosophy, offering accessible instruments packed with the features that have made Ibanez a household name. The AZ24S1F in Transparent Black Sunburst stands as a prime example, blending classic design elements with modern appointments to create a truly versatile and inspiring guitar, not to mention absolutely fantastic value for money.

At the heart of the AZ24S1F lies a carefully selected tonewood combination. A Flamed Maple top graces an Alder body, providing a balanced tonal foundation. The Flamed Maple not only adds a touch of visual elegance with its striking grain patterns but also contributes a crisp high-end sparkle to the guitar's voice. The Alder body, known for its balanced tonal characteristics, delivers a well-rounded sound with rich resonance and sustain, making it a versatile choice for various musical styles.

The neck of the AZ24S1F is crafted from Roasted Maple, a process that enhances the wood's stability, durability, and resistance to temperature and humidity changes. This results in a neck that is less prone to warping or shifting, ensuring consistent playability over time. The roasting process also imparts a subtle warmth to the neck's tone. The Jatoba fretboard, with its reddish-brown hue and smooth feel, adds a rich midrange and crisp high-end to the overall sonic palette. Jumbo stainless steel frets offer exceptional durability and a smooth playing surface, providing effortless bending and vibrato while ensuring long-lasting performance. Specs like the AZ neck profile, 25.5" scale length, and 305mm radius fretboard make this guitar feel slick to play.

The electronics of the AZ24S1F are designed for maximum versatility. Ibanez Modern Custom pickups, featuring a dual humbucker configuration with Alnico V magnets, deliver a powerful and responsive tone that excels in both clean and high-gain settings. These pickups offer a quick attack and articulate response, making them ideal for everything from intricate lead work to chunky rhythm playing. The dyna-MIX10 switching system, coupled with an Alter Switch, unlocks a vast array of tonal possibilities. This innovative system allows for seamless switching between humbucker and single-coil modes, offering ten distinct sound variations. The Power Tap mode provides a convincing single-coil tone despite the guitar's dual-humbucker configuration, further expanding its sonic versatility.

The AZ24S1F is equipped with a T106 tremolo bridge, featuring six independent saddles for precise height and intonation adjustments. This allows players to fine-tune their setup for optimal playability and tuning stability. Locking machine heads further enhance tuning stability, ensuring that the guitar stays in tune even during aggressive playing. The Super All Access Neck Joint provides unparalleled access to the higher frets, making even the most demanding solos a breeze.
