GUYATONE LG-100T - EARLY 1960s - w/OHSC ***VERY RARE*** EARLY MODEL

A very rare Guyatone LG-100T from the early 1960s.

These originally came in 2 or 3-pickup versions and were badged in various ways on U.S. export models. This 3-pickup model is rarer.

This one is all-original, complete and comes with its original hard case.

Condition-wise...

Overall condition is very good.

There are inevitably digs and scrapes. There is checking to to the body finish and some larger scratches to the back. (See photos)

The neck and head are in super shape. Some bruising to the neck finish but no major digs. The nut appears to be original.

The fretboard and block inlays are good. The original skinny frets are worn but no scores or grooves. Intonation is ok and there is no choking or stutter anywhere.

These original bridges have global height and intonation adjustment. Simply reposition the bridge base screws for length adjustment.

All the original hardware is present.

Check out the lovely raised aluminium pick guards with its eccentric end jack.

The chrome ware is in fantastic shape.

Controls knobs are in nice condition. Original tuners all work perfectly. Bushes are clean.

Original bridge is good.

The original chrome bridge cover and vibrato arm are both present.

Electrics appear to be all-original.

Cool rocker switches with original labels for each pickup.

The pickups are the real standout on these guitars. These are single coils with real definition, bite and character.

Marvellous authentic vintage tones like these are really hard to find. (Check out the excellent 'Drowning in Guitars' site for video samples.)

A rare and early vintage Guyatone in complete and original condition.

Consequently there is no guarantee that an instrument arrives with exactly the same set up as stated. After a period of acclimatisation, you may still need to make any adjustments at your own expense.
