Here we have wonderful Lyon & Healy parlor guitar that, while lovely to look at, is just TOO LOUD to my tastes.
This was originally advertised as a 1908 Montgomery Ward parlor — I agree with the date; but I think this guitar was more likely built by Regal for Lyon & Healy.
Solid spruce top, handsome oak back and sides; plus fancy binding, ladder bracing, metal tailpiece.
New restoration tuning machines replaced with period-correct ones.
For a small parlor guitar, this one projects—a dry bluesy tone that barks! Unfortunately, as noted above, a bit TOO barking for me.
In excellent shape for its age—nearly pristine.
Action: 1/16” at first fret, 3/16” at seventh fret, 1/&” at twelfth fret.
Comes with a new gig bag (not shown).
Ships UPS. Ground to Continental USA only.
