Designed for electric guitar players who value variety in their tone, the Blackstar Silverline Special is a 50W combo amplifier with a 12" Celestion V-Type speaker. The amplifier aims to combine strides in analog and digital technologies to give you multiple classic tones. With the Silverline Special, you get the ability to store up to 128 presets, and access four of them at a time from the amplifier itself. The amp makes use of six preamplifier voices and six power amp emulations. Preamp voicings include Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD 1, and OD 2 for a wide variety of tones. The power amp section, on the other hand, makes use of SHARC powered DSP algorithms and Blackstar's TVP technology to give you the vibe, response, and tone of six notable, real-world power amp sections. When you combine the preamp and the power amp sections with Blackstar's ISF tone control, you'll find you have a fine hand on your tone. Additionally, the Silverline Special offers a panoply of studio-quality effects including reverb, phaser, flanger, tremolo, delay, and more. You can control the level, tempo, and type of these effects from the amp itself. Bass, treble, gain, volume, and Blackstar's ISF tone controls are on hand, as are secondary controls, made possible via holding the Tap button. With this button held, you can access Presence and Resonance controls, as well as a secondary effect control; this control changes depending on the type of effect. In addition to the 1/4" input for electric guitars, the amplifier also sports a 3.5mm line auxiliary input, as well as a 3.5mm emulated-speaker headphone output. You can output sound directly, over USB, to your computer, using the guitar amp as an interface for your electric guitar. You'll also note the footswitch input, through which you can control multiple aspects of the pedal by means of a separately available footswitch. Front-Panel Hacks

Press and hold Tap, then turn Bass, Treble, and ISF controls to access Resonance, Presence and Middle parameters respectively. Press and hold Tap, then turn FX Level to fine-adjust Modulation speed and Delay time.

6 Preamp Voicings

You'll note six preamp voices: Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, OD 1, OD 2. These allow you to access your suited tone. When used in conjunction with Blackstar's patented ISF control, you can easily tailor your tone to your exact predilections.

Power Amp Modeling

Thanks to a high-performance SHARC processor and patented Blackstar TVP technology, Silverline's Response controls delivers the nuanced feel, vibe, and response of six famous valve power sections of the world. You'll find them in the settings marked KT88, 6L6, KT66, EL34, 6V6, and EL84.

Studio-Grade Artifacts

The onboard modulation, delay, and reverb effects, all based on classic and boutique designs, are a blend of pristine sound quality and easy-to-use control. Even with four of each effect type, two knobs are all it takes to find your desired settings.

Genuine Celestion Speakers

Blackstar outfitted the amp with the standard in guitar speakers, the Celestion V-Type or VT-Jr speaker. With its balanced sound and singing mids, it's a suitable choice for translating Silverline's wide breadth of tone.
