The Taylor 814ce Next Generation acoustic-electric guitar is the flagship model in the Taylor lineup, embracing the classic rosewood and spruce combination in an elegant, understated maple binding with a remarkably comfortable radius armrest. Refinements for 2026 make this iconic instrument more compelling than ever. The guitar starts with all solid woods consisting of Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, and Sitka Spruce for the top. This classic tone wood combination gives the player plenty of bass and top end response with a nice, scooped out midrange. The extra thin finish allows the guitar to project and more accurately reflect the player's style. The Grand Auditorium body shape is the most versatile body shape in the lineup for Taylor. Whether you're a fingerstyle player or strummer, the Grand Auditorium body shape covers the most ground. For 2026, this model brings three major, game-changing innovations.

Action Control Neck. A long tenon neck joint design that not only improves tone and sustain but allows a qualified technician to adjust the neck angle in seconds with the strings still on and the guitar under tension. The result? The ability to set up the guitar for individual playing styles like never before.

Scalloped V Class Bracing. With changes to the internal architecture, the guitar now brings more low end and bloom to the table while embracing all sustain and intonation benefits of the original V Class bracing system.

And finally, Claria pickup system, an… active pickup system that redefines acoustic amplified tone with a proprietary high-definition, active high-fidelity preamp and under-the-saddle pickup system. Simply put, the most plug-and-play pickup system with volume, tone, and contour-shaping soundhole controls to achieve the ultimate amplified acoustic sound. The 2026 Next Generation 814ce features an extra-thin all-gloss finish on the body, element mother of pearl fretboard and peghead inlays, venetian cutaway, maple binding with a rosewood radius armrest, rosewood pickguard, and ships in a deluxe hard shell case.
