(USED) Vertex Ultraphonix Overdrive Pedal

Vertex Ultraphonix Overdrive Pedal

A 100% analog overdrive pedal voiced after legendary American boutique amplifiers, now available pre-owned at a lower price point.

Pre-Owned · Tested & Working Buyer-Fit Overview

This Vertex Ultraphonix came in as a trade-in, and it's a great find for a player chasing that elusive amp-in-a-box overdrive tone without the price tag of a boutique amplifier. Vertex voiced this pedal directly against real Dumble Overdrive Special amplifiers from the 1970s through 1990s, so it's a smart pick for guitarists who want articulate, touch-sensitive gain that responds to playing dynamics rather than a one-note fuzz blanket. It's been tested and is fully functional, giving you that same coveted D-style tone at real savings.

Key Highlights

• Pre-owned trade-in, tested and confirmed working
• 100% analog circuitry for natural, organic overdrive tone

Why You'll Love It Features

An all-analog overdrive circuit with mechanical true bypass switching keeps your signal clean and uncolored when the pedal is off, then delivers warm, harmonically rich gain when engaged.

Advantages

Rather than a generic overdrive voicing, the Ultraphonix is calibrated against real boutique amplifier references, giving it a midrange bloom and harmonic complexity that's hard to find in typical drive pedals.

Benefits

You get an articulate, amp-like overdrive that responds to how hard you play and where you set your guitar's volume knob, making it easier to move between rhythm and lead tones without stepping on extra pedals.

Great Fit For

• Guitarists chasing classic D-style or boutique amp overdrive tones
• Players who rely on guitar volume and touch dynamics to shape their sound
• Blues, fusion, and classic rock players needing articulate lead tone
• Budget-conscious players seeking boutique-style overdrive at a lower cost

Sound and Feel

The Ultraphonix is built to make a clean amp feel like it's being pushed by a boutique American head, with smooth sustain, harmonic overtones, and a blooming midrange that holds up at any volume level. Players have noted its sensitivity to pick attack and guitar volume, allowing the gain character to shift naturally as you play rather than staying static.
