Ibanez J-542 – aus der Concord-Serie, eingeführt 1978, produziert in Japan. Es ist ein 12-saitiges Concord-Serien-Modell, das 1978 von Ibanez eingeführt wurde und in Japan produziert wurde. Es gehört zur Jumbo-Linie. Der J542 hat einen Jumbo-Korpus mit Fichtendecke und schwarz-weißer Bindung auf Ahorn-Rücken und -Zargen. Die schöne geflammte Ahornmaserung im Korpusinneren passt perfekt dazu.
Weitere Merkmale laut Spezifikation: Ahornhals mit verstellbarem Trussrod, 20-Bund-Palisander-Griffbrett mit Perlmutt-Split-Block-Bundmarkierungen, Plastiksattel in einer verstellbaren Palisander-Brücke mit weißen Stegstiften, Knochensattel und vergoldete Mechaniken. Der J542 wurde nach 1980 eingestellt.
