Get ready to step into a time machine of pure acoustic bliss! The Martin 000E Retro Plus Mahogany brings the legendary pre-War vibe right into the modern era, combining a comfortably compact 000 body style with an absolute powerhouse configuration of tonewoods. Built for players who demand vintage character alongside modern reliability, this guitar delivers an intimate playing experience with a massive, stage-ready personality that feels right at home in your hands.

The crown jewel of this instrument is its exceptional Adirondack (Red) Spruce top. Today's Adirondack differs cosmetically from that of pre-War days with its unique late growth lines and grain variations , but it remains incredibly stiff and hard. This gives the guitar a clear, ringing, yet beautifully complex and nuanced tone that carries right through high volume levels where other spruces start to break up. It stays clear and well-defined no matter how hard you play it. Because of its extra stiffness, it offers an incredible velocity of sound and snappy responsiveness that projects the music quickly from the top. Paired with a rich Mahogany body, the tone continues to mature and gain depth over time as the spruce breaks in more slowly than other choices, offering a warm, focused midrange and a punchy voice.

The 000 body shape has long been a favorite of legendary fingerstyle players and blues masters alike, famously championed by icons like Eric Clapton and John Mayer for its exceptional balance and articulation. Whether you are flatpicking intricate leads or strumming soulful chords, this guitar cuts through the sonic landscape with absolute clarity.
