So here we have here quite an amazing guitar, a Taylor 224ce-K DLX Grand Auditorium Deluxe Acoustic/Electric guitar in Hawaiian Koa wood with a full gloss Shaded Edgeburst finish. Bought Brand New in  2021 and it has been soundly sleeping  in it’s case for all these years, but as we were going through some New olderstock we came across this gem. Just so happens to be in New Condition and only played a few times.

The 224ce-K sports a Grand Auditorium body, one of Taylor's most popular designs. The comfortably sized cutaway body is carved entirely from Koa, a rare Hawaiian wood with a wonderfully natural aesthetic.  Hailing from the Big Island of Hawaii, the hardtop Koa wood affords compression, creating a controlled, sustaining effect to each note. It begins with a very bright tone, but over time relents to a warmer, sweeter sound, particularly in the mid-range. The Grand Auditorium, all-Koa design is well suited to fingerstyle players who have a heavier touch.

Superb Playability

Like all Taylor's, the 224ce-K DLX has a ton of great features that make it a highly playable guitar. Sure, it's pretty enough to be decoration, but that's not what it's made for. In addition to the highly playable Grand Auditorium cutaway body, the 224ce-K DLX has a sapele neck measuring a comfortable 1-11/16" wide. It's capped with a 20-fret West African ebony fretboard. This guitar comes standard with Elixir Phosphor Bronze Light strings and sports a Nubone nut as well as Micarta saddle. All of these features help to give you the comfort and sound to play at the peak of your ability.

We ship mostly UPS through Staples pickup but use other sources too! And we ship on Tuesdays and Thursdays/Fridays. Staples is a half hour drive each way so we try not to waste time and some weeks we combine shipping days. We are also the best of shippers, well Rory is!

There are no breaks or repairs on these guitars, and they are not stamped, used or are they 2nd’s
 and not a B-stock or a blem models.

And please realize that the price of shipping reflects the fact that these guitars comes in a cases, so therefore it adds to the weight & size of the package.

At Rocking the Shack, we like guitars in cases, nice and safe! And are also big fans of strap locks! Pickguards are also nice since they do protect the finish!   Please note that I do not set up our guitars before shipping. We always play them and check that they play well and everything works as it should. Now these are our standards, and may not be yours as  you may need to change the strings, adjust the action or do other maintenece to get it to your preferences. 

At the Shack we do set-ups but only when requested by customer, ( a $90.00 - $120.00 charge) Unless, at times we feel that a set up would really benefit an instrument then we just do it. 

Of course every guitar deserves a good set up with new strings. 

In the Shack we keep climate control conditions all year round and the instruments live in a smoke free environment in their cases!  
As mentioned before we love cases and strap locks for the safety and protection they offer.  Need we say more!   

Pick guards are also nice for protection of the body and when matched up right they can bring out the hidden beauty in an instrument!

We use to sell and ship to Canada using UPS, but cannot anymore due to the hidden fee’s of UPS which are added to the custom shipping fee's upon delivery. And in the end the Canadian customer would have to pay! We will only Ship to Canada using USPS or other services!

We have listed this item as clean used as this trade in has been a "case Queen" it's whole life. In fact all of our guitars live in their cases! Being a used item, it may have some minor play wear in the form of light pick scratches or dings (some of which are impossible to capture in photographs but we've done our best to do so with today's technology). Rest assured, we have attempted to disclose any known imperfections to the best of our ability and the instrument will still perform as intended.

We spend the time needed to make sure you are a happy customer. It gives us great joy to know someone is playing and enjoying an instrument we have worked on and owned.
