Kalamazoo KG-2A (ca. 1967) Mustang-type – neck and body. This is an excellent opportunity for a guitar project or refinish job as both the neck and body are still in very rigorous and good condition: No signs of breaks, crack, or repairs. Additionally, because these are bolt-on necks, they are highly amenable to refinishing as the necks and bodies can easily be separated and reassembled as well as having the potential to swap out necks and bodies. The natural finish on the neck of this one notably is in above average condition for its age should you prefer to limit your refinish project to just the body. The Kalamazoo logo (front) and serial number (back) are also both nicely and strongly embossed on the headstock.

The neck surface has low-moderate playing wear with plenty of playing time still remaining. This one is also moderate-to-light weight, reducing the potential for playing fatigue from long playing sessions.

Furthermore, this KG-2A also easily accommodates a single-pickup pick guard for a one-pickup version or could even be adapted to a three-pickup version should you choose to insert an additional pickup between the normal neck and bridge pickups. This item is in overall average to better-than-average, used condition with typical wear-and-tear for its age; it is being presented here as a potential guitar customization or refinish project.

This item also includes a period chipboard-type case (unknown whether this is the OEM case or not) with all three latches fully functional and intact and firmly attached carrying handle.
