A Very Cool 1970 Competition Blue Mustang Bass. This 56 Year old dependable Road Warrior has naturally reliced with years of use. The finish has aged into a striking Sherwood Green like coloring. Split Coil Pickup, Pearloid Pickguard, Racing Stripe on the body, and String Through Body Design. The Neck has a beautiful rosewood fingerboard. Even though the bass displays lots of use, the Original frets are nice and clean from a life of flat wound strings. An easy playing bass with a 1 5/8 nut width and neck depth measurements of .88" at the first fret to 1.02" at the 12th. The Pots are dated late 1970 with a couple touched solder joints and some electrical tape on the ground wire. The neck date stamp is a little faint as commonly seen during the era. This Competition Bass is in fair vintage condition with lots of chips, dings, and finish flaking on body and headstock. Included is an aftermarket hardshell case. A great playing bass with a Heavy Relic Finish look that folks would pay the Fender Custom Shop big bucks to get.
