Offered here is a stunning, all-original example of a Yamano-imported 1991 Gibson Les Paul Standard, finished in a rich Honeyburst over a beautifully figured two-piece maple top, perfectly complemented by a one-piece mahogany back and a rich, dark rosewood fretboard.

Included in the sale is the originally supplied brown Gibson branded TKL Les Paul-shaped brown hardcase with a pink interior. 

This exceptional Les Paul exemplifies Gibson's renowned craftsmanship from that so called "good-wood" era and stands out as one of the more picture-perfect plain-tops we've sourced. 

Striking and solidly built, these 90’s Les Pauls are celebrated and it's evident why.. A straightforward comparison with a current Gibson USA Les Paul reveals a marked difference in fit and finish. 

Condition-wise, this Les Paul is in superb shape, remaining fully functional with no breaks or repairs. It has been very well cared for, showing only a handful of light surface marks alongside some age-related binding shrinkage and cracking. Additional cosmetic wear is limited to minor buckle rash on the back and some light lacquer checking, all of which is consistent with its age.

The '60s slim-taper profile neck and fretboard are in excellent condition, with all 22 frets showing minimal wear and plenty of life remaining.

The original electronics function flawlessly, and the stock humbuckers offer an impressively versatile tonal range. One interesting anomaly is the pickup configuration: rather than the typical 490R neck and 498T bridge pairing, this guitar appears to be fitted with a '57 Classic in the neck alongside the expected 498T in the bridge. Inspection of the solder joints in the control cavity confirms this to be completely original, suggesting it was likely a factory mix-up. It's certainly not the first time we've encountered an unusual factory-installed specifications. For completeness and peace of mind, we've also included a genuine 1990s 490R neck pickup with the sale.
