2018 Zimnicki OO The Warbler, Black Walnut/Red Cedar

2018 00 Warbler from Gary Zimnicki, in Michigan Black Walnut and Master Grade Red Cedar. This model is in tribute to Kirtland’s Warbler, a rare bird known to inhabit Jack Pine forests of northern Michigan, hence the Michigan Black Walnut for the back and sides, as well as the neck and peghead.

This guitar is quite the little songbird. Birdseye Maple rosette and binding, and an incredibly intricate headplate inlay of the bird itself, along with pine cone fret markers in reference to the Warbler’s preferred domain.

From the luthier himself: “Like the Kirtland’s Warbler itself, this small guitar has a surprisingly strong voice that defies its size. Not only is it clear and very well balanced, but the sustain is amazing and the action is silky smooth.”
