Passive Modified GOB900 Late Model

In the 1970s, while many copy models were released by various manufacturers in Japan, Greco also made a name for itself by producing numerous excellent copy models.

From the late 1970s, Greco began to focus on producing its own original models, and the GO series was born in 1977.

This instrument is a 1979 GOB-900. It features a 5-piece neck and 22 frets, a later specification. The second digit of the serial number is missing, but we believe it is a 1979 model due to its later specification.

This particular instrument has been modified to a passive configuration with the preamp removed.

The controls consist of two volume controls, one tone control, and a pickup selector switch; the two mini-switches are dummies.

The neck-through construction and the laminated neck/body wood demonstrate the meticulous attention to detail characteristic of Japanese manufacturers.

There is a small chip in the wood on the side of the fretboard near the nut on the 4th string side, but it does not affect playability.

This guitar boasts a solid bottom end that firmly supports the ensemble while maintaining a clean, tight bass tone without becoming saturated. Its crisp, tight sound, combined with a not-too-hard texture, makes it a truly appealing instrument!
