It comes with its original Fender Custom Shop case, Certificate of Authenticity (COA), and all original documentation and accessories. To speak of this instrument is to speak of one of the most admired and highly rated Precision Basses ever made by the Fender Custom Shop. This is no ordinary Precision; it is a recreation of the legendary bass belonging to Pino Palladino—one of the most influential session musicians of recent decades—built to his personal specifications by the Fender Custom Shop. It features a lightweight select alder body, a maple neck with a profile inspired by his vintage instruments, a rosewood fingerboard, a nitrocellulose finish, a Custom Shop pickup wound specifically for this model, and stock Thomastik-Infeld flatwound strings. Its sound is simply exceptional: deep, warm, round, and nuanced, with rich, musical mids that allow every note to sit perfectly in the mix. It is the classic Precision Bass sound taken to its ultimate expression: elegant, organic, and possessing extraordinary dynamics. It is an instrument particularly prized by players of: - Soul - R&B - Blues - Fingerstyle funk - Pop - Classic rock - Studio and session work In these genres, it delivers a tone that is hard to match, with a musicality that has made this model a benchmark Precision Bass among professional bassists. It enjoys an excellent reputation.
