Beautiful 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Ebony with its original Gibson hardshell case. Gibson Customer Service confirmed the 1978 production year from the serial number, and the CTS pot codes inside the control cavity also date to 1978. The guitar weighs approximately 11.2 lbs. To the best of my knowledge, the electronics and hardware are original and appear consistent with the period. Clear photos of the control cavity are included for buyers to review. I have not pulled the pickups because I did not want to disturb anything unnecessarily. Very good vintage condition with expected finish wear and natural patina to the gold hardware. The neck pickup ring has a small crack from age, visible in the photos. The guitar presents beautifully for its age, and I am not aware of any repairs to the neck or headstock.
