Overview I am selling a vintage Fender guitar and amp setup that I have owned for over 30 years. I bought this rig around 1995 at the Virgil Reed Music store in Wray, CO, and used it back in high school. Around 2001, I loaned the setup to my cousin, who is a big guitar enthusiast, so he could use it for a recording project. While he had it, he took it to Mass Street Music on September 11, 2001, to get it checked out. He had them clean the switches, update the amp to a safe 3-prong power cord, and he bought the hardshell case for it. I got it back from him shortly after that, never really picked it back up, and it has been stored in a climate-controlled home closet ever since.

I just pulled it out and tested it today (6/27/26). The slider switches were a little stiff/scratchy at first from sitting so long, but after exercising them back and forth a bit, both pickups select cleanly and the rig sounds great.

The Guitar: 1967 Fender Mustang

• Serial Number: 197396 on the neck plate.
• Finish: White body that has naturally aged to a cream color over the years, with the original tortoise pickguard.
• Neck: The wood grain on the back of the neck and headstock has a really unique "birdseye" pattern that stands out in daylight.
• Condition and Function: All original pickups and electronics. After moving the switches back and forth today, everything is working and it has that classic, bright vintage Fender sound.

The Amplifier: 1968-1969 Fender Princeton Reverb (Drip-Edge)

• Chassis Serial Stamp: A 24894
• Tube Chart: The original paper label is still inside the cabinet and says AA764.
• Components: Has the original blue Fender speaker label and vintage RCA tubes. Mass Street Music put a safe 3-prong grounded plug on it during the 2001 service. The original 2-prong cable they cut off is still in the guitar case.
• Performance: Turns on fine and runs quiet with no loud buzzing. The clean tone sounds great, and the spring reverb and vibrato effect both work smoothly.
