The Gibson LG-2 50s Original Antique Natural is a faithful revival of one of Gibson’s most beloved small-body acoustics, offering a full, balanced voice in a compact and comfortable package. Originally introduced in the early 1940s and refined through the 1950s, the LG-2 became a go-to for players who wanted rich projection and tonal balance without the size of a dreadnought.
This 50s Original version pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with solid mahogany back and sides, delivering lively articulation, warmth, and excellent note separation. Finished in Antique Natural, it highlights the wood’s natural character while maintaining a distinctly vintage-inspired feel. With period-correct construction details and modern L.R. Baggs electronics, it’s equally suited for home playing, recording, or live performance.
