Up for sale is a truly wonderful 1933 National El Trovador in very good condition. National Resophonic did an excellent job performing restoration work that included a neck reset, new fretboard, new nut, new cone, new saddle, repro decal, and repairing the original tailpiece. It plays terrifically and sounds great. This one is from a unique batch of Kay made El Trovador’s that features a 4 digit serial number and would have originally had an iveroid National badge on the headstock. The finish shows even wear throughout with a handful of scratches/ hairlines in the laminate body as pictured and evidence of age. Possible work around the heal cap as pictured, but this might be as it was originally. Original tuners have been reconditioned and work well. Excellent playability across the new ebony fretboard. Missing an endpin. The guitar comes shipped in a new case from National that fits perfectly. As much as I’d like to keep this, I have a few other projects that could use attention and cant keep them all. This one is dialed in, and I’d love to see it go to a good home. Feel free to reach out with questions.
Thanks.
