Addictive Bolt-on Tone & Feel
Since the dawn of rock and roll, the snap and response that comes from a bolt-on neck guitar has been an essential part of the mix. These attributes have, in turn, become essential to many players trying to tell their story through music. This CE 24 pairs PRS’s traditional body combination of the mahogany back and maple top with a bolt-on maple neck and ebony fretboard. The neck sports a Pattern Thin carve and satin nitro finish for a natural, addictive feel.\

Instead of the standard flamed maple top, this CE 24 features a beautifully figured quilted maple top—a feature typically seen on PRS Wood Library and Private Stock instruments. The deeper 3D movement and richer figuring make this CE 24 visually stunning and far more exclusive than the standard production model.

An ebony fretboard replaces the standard rosewood, adding a sleek look, a glassy feel, and an extra level of snap and attack. Ebony contributes to tighter lows, crisp highs, and a fast playing response—perfect for both articulate clean work and high-gain definition.

This CE 24 comes loaded with covered PRS 57/08 pickups (in comparison to the uncovered PRS 85/15 pickups that come standard), the legendary vintage-voiced humbuckers inspired by the sweetest late-’50s PAFs. These hand-wound, USA-made pickups are known for warmth, clarity, and exceptional musicality. With covered coils, they deliver refined top-end and rich harmonic character. The electronics consist of a volume and push/pull tone control with 3-way toggle switch for a total of six classic sounds.

The PRS CE 24 now comes with PRS Phase III tuners, featuring a handsome open-back design, unplated brass shafts, and highly-usable gear ratio.

The original CE was introduced in 1988 and offered players PRS design and quality with the added snap and sparkle of traditional bolt-on guitars.
