The Blacktop Series, launched by Fender in 2010, is a short-lived but highly distinctive production line famous for its iconic black amp knobs. It was designed with a modern approach to fuse the thick, powerful punch of dual humbuckers with the classic ergonomics of Fender’s traditional models.
This particular model sports a stunning Candy Apple Red finish. It features an alder body, a highly comfortable "C"-shaped maple neck, and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
Unlike a standard single-coil Stratocaster, its HH configuration delivers a much thicker sound with incredible sustain and high-output power—ideal for rock riffs and defined solos. However, it doesn't sacrifice versatility thanks to its 5-way selector switch. It allows you to go from sweet, clean tones in the neck position to crunchy textures with that classic Fender clarity in the split/combined positions.
