Vintage 1960's Rheem D-823 Dynamic Microphone, working well w/cable & retail box

     Offering a 1960's era RHEEM Model D-823 Dual Impedance Dynamic Microphone. The Rheem Brothers founded Rheem Manufacturing Company in Emeryville, CA in 1925, producing a diverse array of products in its nearly 100 years of operation. In the 60's, their audio products included reel-to-reel decks, amplifiers, turntables and microphones, garnering a strong market in local government and school systems. (I played with a Rheem deck in High School from the Audio/Video Department!)

      Changing with the times, Rheem advanced to producing heating, cooling, water heating, pool & spa heating, and commercial refrigeration products, becoming the largest manufacturer of water heating products in North America.
     This model D-823 microphone is nicely designed, well built, and tested, working, producing excellent sounding strong output. (Check out the voice sample in the listing video.) The aluminum casing is in nice shape, no nicks or scratches, and includes a frontal on-off switch plus working low-hi impedance switch in the pivoting grip portion. This sale includes the proprietary 15' long cable with 1/4" male phono plug, plus the original retail box. MIC STAND IS NOT INCLUDED, shown for staging only.
