This 2014 Martin Custom Shop D-28 shares the same specs that we all love from a regular D-28 plus a few other nice features being a Custom Shop Martin.

This D-28 features an Italian Alpine Spruce top with aging-toner, premium East Indian Rosewood back and sides and a Hide Glue construction. The nut and saddle are bone, the bridge and fretboard are Ebony, and the tuners are Grover Sta-Tite with 18:1 ratio. It also has Antique White Binding like a D-35 to distinguish it from other D-28s.

The standard placement of the 5/16" scalloped X-bracing (not forward-shifted X-bracing) gives it a really dynamic and even tone without having too much bass and it helps having a “breathier” sound and more volume, as Martin would describe it. Best of all, the sound of the guitar is perfectly balanced which makes it perfect for recording or live sessions.

The guitar has some swirl marks here and there from normal use and cleaning, and some very light pressure marks on the top near the binding due to the case.

The guitar comes with its original hardshell case with the classic green interior.
