For Sale: 2001 Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster Relic
Serial #R3455 | Birth Date: 4/11/2001
$3,550 OBO
Up for sale is a 2001 Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster Relic, Serial #R3455, built in Fender's Corona, California Custom Shop and completed on April 11, 2001.
This guitar comes from the early years of the modern Fender Custom Shop Nocaster program, a period that helped establish the reputation of the Custom Shop's Blackguard-era recreations. Finished in Nocaster Blonde with beautifully visible grain and extensive lacquer checking that has naturally matured over more than two decades, it captures the look, feel, and tone that made the original early-'50s Blackguard Telecasters legendary.
The guitar features the substantial Nocaster neck profile these instruments are known for, with excellent resonance, clarity, and classic Telecaster twang. It is an outstanding player with the feel and response that have made the Custom Shop Nocaster one of Fender's most sought-after vintage-style models.
