D'Angelico Deluxe Brighton 1 of 50 Electric Guitar 2020 Matte Charcoal Owned by Eric Dane

This guitar was previously owned by actor Eric Dane and is in MINT condition with the protective film still on both pickups and pick guard. This guitar was hanging on the wall in Eric's living room as a piece of art and was only plugged in once before being placed on the wall. I put a new set of strings on the guitar and tested all 8 pickup setting variations along with volume and tone knobs and everything works perfectly. This is a limited edition color of only 50 units! The guitar comes complete with the deluxe hardshell case as well as the deluxe padded soft carrying case. I am looking to sell locally but will consider shipping if the buyer pays for a box and shipping costs.

D’Angelico’s Deluxe Brighton Limited Edition was a top seller in its day, thanks to its sleek body shape and slinky playability. And now it’s back! Make no mistake, this is a full-blooded D'Angelico, complete with stair-step tuners, inlaid art deco headstock, and iconic "diver down" fingerboard inlays. Made with a swamp ash body and set maple-walnut neck, the Brighton demonstrates superior resonance and sustain. This axe features deep cutaways that allow you to play the highest frets in complete comfort. Its plugged-in tone is supplied by a pair of Seymour Duncan A4 humbucking pickups. You'll have access to warm, airy jazz tones from the neck pickup and ripping blues tones from the bridge pickup. The Deluxe Brighton is limited to 50 instruments available, so grab yours today for an easy-playing solidbody electric for your guitar arsenal.

Deep cutaways enable unmatched fret access

D'Angelico guitars are known for their easy playability, and the Deluxe Brighton Limited Edition is no exception. You’ll appreciate this guitar’s satin-finished maple-walnut neck and ebony fingerboard with 22 Jescar medium-jumbo frets that lend it lightning-fast playability without feeling overly thick. You'll have no problem reaching the Deluxe Brighton’s upper frets, thanks to the nearly nonexistent heel joint and deep cutaways on both sides of the neck. The neck is made from two pieces of maple glued on either side of a strip of walnut. This construction technique increases the strength of the neck (reducing the need for truss rod adjustments) and looks good to boot!

Seymour Duncan pickups deliver a wide tonal range

The D’Angelico Deluxe Brighton Limited Edition comes loaded with a set of classic-voiced Seymour Duncan Seth Lover A4 humbuckers. Thanks to their Alnico IV magnets, these top-shelf pickups offer wonderfully nuanced mids, infusing each note you play with depth, dimension, and amazing levels of clarity. To fine-tune your sound further, each pickup features its own volume and tone knob. And if that wasn't enough, push-pull tone knobs yield coil-tapped tones with lower output and single-coil-like texture.

The D’Angelico legacy

After mastering his craft during an 18-year apprenticeship, luthier John D’Angelico opened his shop in Manhattan’s Little Italy in 1932. Catering to New York’s many jazz musicians over the ensuing three decades, D’Angelico and a single apprentice became New York’s foremost stringed-instrument builders, creating over 1,000 treasured archtop guitars until John’s death in 1964. After his passing, D’Angelico’s legacy lived on only through his rare, legendary instruments. After decades, the D’Angelico brand has resurfaced, bringing back the playability and attention to detail of the company’s New York roots. Today, Sweetwater is delighted to offer this fine line of distinguished instruments. D’Angelico uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the finest available materials to create playable works of art for today’s guitarist. From a modest shop in Little Italy to the world stage, D’Angelico’s dedication to quality craftsmanship ensures that this brand won’t be going dormant again any time soon.
