From appraiser:
1964-2 Fender Jazz Bass (left-handed) Sunburst, with tortoise pickguard & covers, Serial number L35337.
- numerous dark body edge finish touch-ups.
- A bone nut has been installed, otherwise the instrument is stock.
- The neck is a reconverted slab board dated NOV62A & stamped upside down at the butt joint.
- All other features date to late 1964.
- I believe this instrument most likely shipped from Fender as is because it is left-handed.
- There is wear on the rear upper contour of the bass body as well.
- The instrument includes the original tug-bar finger-rest.
- There is a slight stand discoloration on the back of the neck, at the 9th fret.
- Pots are original and date 304-6426 (26th week of 1964)- all solder joints are original & untouched.
- There is an additional hole in the pickguard under bass side pickup cover mounting screw.
- Bridge pickup cover has original foam & the over is mounted on two 5/8" diameter non-stock washers.
- The upper forearm contour has been "touched up" along with numerous chips on side-edges, with extensive touch-ups around the heel.
- -Bridge pickup reads: 7.45. thousand Ohms
- -Neck pickup reads: 8.19. Thousand Ohms DC resistance
- -The instrument does not have its original hard-shell case, and is housed in a burgundy / maroon gig bag.
- -This instrument's current replacement value is: $15,500 U.S.D.
