We’ve got a really unique trumpet in the shop today. This is an early-build Edwards Generation II Bb trumpet, and it comes with some serious custom upgrades.

For the brass history buffs out there, there's a long-standing industry rumor that Edwards/Getzen brought over a top designer from Schilke to help develop the valve block for this era of horns. Whether that's officially true or not, when you feel the valve action and hear how centered the pitch is on this Gen II, it definitely makes sense. It’s a fantastic player's horn that has been heavily customized to dial in the intonation and resistance.

Key Features

• Custom Blackburn Leadpipe & Slide: This horn is currently set up with a custom Blackburn leadpipe and a custom tuning slide. This setup provides incredible intonation and keeps the pitch perfectly centered across the entire range of the horn.
• Ported Valve Block: The 1st and 3rd valves on this trumpet are ported, which is a meticulous modification designed to perfectly align the internal airflow and reduce turbulence. The compression is absolutely perfect, and the valve action is smooth and fast.
• M22 Bell & Gold Plating: It features an M22 bell and is finished in full gold plating, giving it a great look and a slightly warmer resonance than standard silver.
• Dial In Your Setup: The horn comes with three different leadpipe chokes, allowing you to fine-tune the resistance and gap to your exact preference.

Condition & Shop Inspection

• Cosmetics: Great Player's Condition. The gold plating looks great, showing some normal signs of use typical for a played pro horn.
• Mechanics: Bench-Tested. The valves are incredibly smooth, and the compression is spot-on. All slides move freely. It’s ready to gig right now.
• Accessories: Please note: This trumpet does not include a case or mouthpiece. However, it does include the original Edwards leadpipe, the original tuning slide, and the three leadpipe chokes.
