Update: I was contacted by a gentleman (T.C.) who provided me with addditional information and some history on this bass guitar. I acquired this bass in a 2 for 1 trade and have had limited exposure to the Modulus products and their history. I thank T.C. for his input. The Vertex 4 was produced primarily between 2009 and 2013 the serial number reflects a 1995 manufactured date as the neck was previously swapped to a Modulus P-Style neck manufactured in 1995. T.C. also provided a previous listing from some years ago that provided additional information and some history of the instrument. I have included it below to provide added clarity, sorry for any confusion.
- Hello! This listing is for a Modulus Vertex bass with original Modulus hardshell case (not pictured).
- So, hopping right into the weird: the original Modulus neck has been swapped with a 1995 Modulus graphite neck that has no truss rod. The previous owner thought the P-styled neck shape of the '95 neck was a better fit for this bass. I can't argue! It's an amazing neck and it has never needed any kind of maintenance or adjustment. Just perfect pre-truss rod Modulus. There are also the usual assorted dings and chips like you'd expect with a pointy bass, but nothing too egregious. Everything is pictured. Please review carefully.
- -Basswood body
- -34" scale length
- -Gotoh "Modulus" tuners
- -Hipshot bridge
- -EMG 35DC pickup
- -EMG BTS preamp
- Comes with fitted Modulus Vertex case (not pictured) but one hinge on the case is broken - otherwise it is in decent shape
This is an amazing bass and I am utterly going to regret parting with it, but it just doesn't get the play time it deserves. Please, give this bass a good home!
