The first-generation X1 (2010) microphone from sE is a workhorse and laid the foundation for the entire X1 line before sE Electronics replaced it with the "A" and "S" iterations.
- The Pad Switch: It features a -10 dB attenuation pad (The X1 A has a -20 dB pad, while the X1 S has two switches for -10 dB and -20 dB).
- The Low-Cut Filter Switch: It features a basic low-frequency roll-off switch to eliminate background rumble.
- The Capsule: It houses a true, hand-crafted 1-inch large diaphragm (Unlike the budget X1 A, which uses a smaller 2/3-inch back-electret capsule)
