OG Akai APC40 — the 2009 beast that completely changed the game for Ableton Live! This thing is a 40-pad RGB clip-launching monster, loaded with nine long-throw faders, eight endless encoders, and full transport controls. It gives you instant command over every clip, scene, track, and effect in Live. Built like a tank and still feels amazing. I just noticed as I was taking these photos that the fader button has faded away. I works. the little black tops on the knobs went with it, but I think it works even better without them…. Kidding…ish.
