BUILD & DESIGN

The GDM 121 features the distinctive flat-bodied housing that became famous through the Sennheiser MD 21. Constructed from heavy-duty metal, the microphone feels exceptionally solid in the hand and was designed to withstand years of professional use. Its rectangular profile with rounded corners provides excellent handling comfort while giving it an unmistakable vintage appearance.

This example retains its original Tuchel connector, making it especially appealing to collectors and enthusiasts seeking an authentic period-correct microphone.

Capsule

The microphone employs an omnidirectional dynamic capsule designed for consistent pickup from all directions. Unlike directional microphones that require careful positioning, the GDM 121 captures speech and ambient sound naturally and evenly, making it ideal for interviews, reporting, voice recording, and acoustic applications.
