1941 Martin 000-21 in very good condition. Plays well and is an excellent example of a pre-war Martin.

These are the following modifications and condition issues:

 There is a semi-circular top material patch visible on the interior underside of the top in the area alongside the treble-side arm of the main X-brace. This patch is not visible from the exterior of the guitar because it is underneath the pickguard, The bridge plate has been replaced and there is a crack in the bridge which runs along the line of the bridge pins. The original Grover tuners have been replaced with modern Waverly tuners. The finish is original and exhibits typical deterioration with lacquer checking, small impact marks, surface scratches, compression marks and edge-chipping. In other respects, this instrument conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made with 000-size flat-top body, Adirondack spruce top with scalloped rear-shifted X-bracing and natural finish, Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay, back and sides, “herringbone” wood marquetry center backstrip, multi-ply light & dark wood sound hole rosette with “herringbone” wood marquetry center ring, “lower belly” ebony bridge with “long” saddle, black bridge pins, mahogany neck with ebony heel cap, gold-color “C.F. Martin & Co.” logo decal on peghead, 20-fret ebony fingerboard, mother-of-pearl “slotted diamond” fingerboard inlays, multi-ply dark and light wood binding with Brazilian rosewood exterior ply on body top and bottom edges, and other typical Martin style 21 appointments. The instrument is in a modern replacement hard-shell case with textured black vinyl exterior covering and red plush interior lining.
