Gretsch G9112 Resonator-Ukulele - Honey Mahogany Stain
Serial Number: CAU2402770

Outstanding Resonator-ukulele from Gretsch

Gretsch Guitars brings their luthier mastery to the world of ukuleles with the G9112 Resonator-ukulele. This unique uke dips into the world of resonator guitars first developed in the 1930s. With a 6" biscuit resonator cone, the G9112 produces a mesmerizing blend of acoustic ukulele tone with the metallic, treble-heavy tone of a resonator. The G9112 features a laminated mahogany top and body with an ovangkol fingerboard for wonderful tone and response. An ovangkol bridge and genuine bone nut and saddle provide even more resonance and tone support — features uke enthusiasts really appreciate.

Tonewoods and Gretsch’s open-pore finish

The Gretsch G9112 ukulele’s organically warm tone comes courtesy of its mahogany top, back, and sides. The mahogany neck and ovangkol fingerboard are an ideal combination for optimizing the transfer of energy from the strings to the body, for a deep and rich sound. And with the added tone-enhancement of the resonator biscuit cone, this uke is a truly unique tone machine. Gretsch’s natural open-pore semi-gloss finish enhances the G9112’s tone while providing it with understated good looks.

Gretsch legacy in American music

The Gretsch G9112 ukulele transports you back to Gretsch’s roots in American music. Everyone knows Gretsch electric guitars and drums, but did you know that they got their start in 1883 as a banjo company? It wasn’t long before Gretsch was making mandolins, ukuleles, and eventually flat-top guitars, contributing to the very roots of American music. So when you pick up a Gretsch ukulele, you’re holding more than a great uke; you're holding a piece of American music history.

Gretsch G9112 Resonator-ukulele Features:

• Unique combination ukulele and resonator offers opportunities for fun exploration
• Laminated mahogany top and body provide great uke tone
