The Fender American Original ’50s Telecaster Butterscotch (officially "Butterscotch Blonde") is a premium, period-correct tribute to the iconic 1952 debut guitar. It pairs a resonant ash body and breathable nitrocellulose lacquer finish with modern playability enhancements like a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and vintage-tall frets.
Key Specs & Features- Body: Ash body finished in a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer that lets the wood breathe and ages beautifully.
- Neck: Single-piece maple with a chunky ’50s-era "U" profile and a maple fingerboard.
- Pickups: Pure Vintage ’52 single-coil Telecaster pickups for authentic, twangy, and articulate tones.
- Hardware: 3-saddle string-through-body bridge with brass barrel saddles, bone nut, and Kluson-style vintage tuners.
- Pickguard: Authentic 1-ply black phenolic pickguard
The American Original series has been discontinued by Fender and replaced primarily by the American Vintage II lineup.
