Old 5 string banjo with a painted head The Flapper and the Hummingbird 1930s - Wood and calf skin

Here’s an old 5 string banjo that is creeping up on being 100 years old if it’s not already. It shows its age with many scratches and bumps but is very solid for its age. It has had its tension pegs replaced with older (probably pre 1950s) mechanical tuners that work ok. If you would like me to replace these with modern tuners I could do that for a small fee. This entire banjo has been rebuilt and a new skin head has been fitted and decorated with a cute flapper girl. It plays well and has medium action. Check the video below to hear it in action. (In the video it’s tuned to a guitar tuning because I’m no Banjo player!) No case but will be packed well. It’s a very fun and inspiring instrument.
