Up for sale is a completely unique, premium dreadnought tonewood project set for a Martin D-35 build. This factory-prepped package pairs exceptionally rare, 50+ year stable vintage wood with premium Custom Shop signature materials.What is included in this bundle:

1. Back Plate: Authentic, vintage 1970 Martin factory-stamped D-35 back panel. It is factory marked in white grease pencil with sequential Serial Number 265890, workshop designation "HD28", and batch "18 set". Having naturally air-dried and stabilized for over five decades, this wood offers an incredible level of tonal maturity, deep resonance, and stability that modern lumber cannot replicate. Includes the light-colored decorative backstrip inlay.
2. Soundboard: Authentic Martin Custom Shop Seth Avett Signature Edition spruce top plate. Factory penciled "D35A Seth Avett RW" on the interior face. This premium, high-altitude spruce features tight, straight grain patterning and pre-drilled alignment pin holes. The face features precisely pre-routed concentric channels ready for a classic Style 28 herringbone rosette inlay.

Meticulous Packaging: Wood plates are highly susceptible to humidity and transit stress. This set will be wrapped in moisture-barrier plastic, sandwiched tightly between heavy rigid foam core sheets, and shipped flat in a heavy-duty oversized box to completely eliminate any risk of flexing, warping, or cracking.
