Major feeler zone at this point, but everything comes with a price - especially in the year 2026.
For your review is a 1967 Gibson Non-Reverse firebird professionally refinished in Inverness Green + amber nitrocellulose clear coat.
This guitar was professionally setup – near rebuilt – by local New England legendary luthier Jon Mouradian, who also assessed the refin as “quite Gibson like in quality“.
Guitar has a new bone nut and locking lightning style bridge - both reseated and reinstalled by Jon. The frets have been leveled and crowned. Set up with extremely low and playable action. Truss rod is active with plenty of room. Tuners are schaller M6 replacements.
This guitar right now has a set of firebird pickups tjag are slightly mismatched aesthetically, but sound absolutely amazing both separate and together. Seymour Duncan firebird in the neck, Lollar firebird with aged chrome in the bridge.
I can also reinstall the original P90 set with a pick guard that fits those pickups instead - your choice, though sonically I do prefer this firebird setup.
Comes with an old, beat up, at some point re-upholstered firebird hardahell case. I have no idea if this is a Gibson original case or not, but it fits the guitar, and it truly is quite old.
Guitar is a 1967, the serial number was uncovered during the refin process, which I had done. There were no breaks cracks or repairs found on this guitar ; the headstock and neck are intact and have never been broken. On the body, there were some tune-o-matic stud routes filled in prior to the refinish.
This guitar is truly one of the nicest looking and best playing instruments I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning - I might just be going in a different direction at this point and I’m sure I’ll regret it later. :)
Thank you for looking!
