"I'iwi" is crafted by Charlie Fukuba on Oahu, Hawaii. He is considered one of the most charismatic and veteran luthiers among the many Hawaiian luthiers, with a long career. This particular instrument is a concert-sized, used 2004 model. It features a deep dark brown Hawaiian koa top and sides with beautiful figured grain, combined with a quilted Hawaiian koa back. It has a mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, pearl dot fingerboard inlays, a designer rosette, wood binding, and white button gold friction tuners. This guitar features a rosette with a sea turtle design, crafted from pearl cutouts. The "I'iwi" (Hawaiian honeycreeper) inlay on the headstock is also beautiful. While there are some minor dents, scratches, and buckle marks, there is no significant damage that detracts from its appearance. This guitar offers the sweet yet crisp and pleasant sound characteristic of Hawaiian koa wood. Eevi guitars are becoming increasingly rare and their prices are soaring. Please consider this guitar.
