MJT / Hosco Telecaster - Custom Build

Custom Build High Spec Telecaster 

MJT USA neck (Musikraft) with a medium profile (slightly fuller than a standard Fender but not 52 style). Rock maple and arrow straight, specially ordered with a thicker slab, dark rosewood fingerboard - almost ebony dark.  Finished by MJT in vintage nitro lacquer and still has it's MJT logo.

HOSCO Japan accurate, full vintage thickness, 45mm alder body finished in Sea Foam Green.

Electrics: Pickups are a pair of custom Blackguard style, hand scatter wound Toltec (UK made).

NECK - Vintage Alnico 5, 6.5K (RW/RP) clear, articulate but still has that Tele sweet warmth.

BRIDGE - 52 Style Alnico 5, 8.5K, Light Relic. Copper Plated Steel Baseplate, North Up. Counter Clockwise Wind.

They pair perfectly together in every situation I've tried and sit well in a mix, clean... or overdriven.  

CTS pots, Orange drop cap and an Oak Grigsby three way switch.  It does Tele' better than most and the vintage wound pickups are a good few levels up.

Hardware - It has a 'shaved bridge' like Danny Gatton's (so that bottom corner doesn't get in the way of picking) and compensated brass saddles for better intonation.  Aged Nickel control plate and vintage dome knobs. Tuners are aged genuine Kluson Deluxe, Electrosocket jack, single-ply white guard.

The guitar has had a recent full set-up and I would confidently put it up against any top shelf Telecaster.
