2018 Fender FSR Made in Japan Hybrid '60s Telecaster Quilt Top – Transparent Red / Pro Set Up

The FSR Made in Japan Hybrid '60s Telecaster Quilt Top is a rare Factory Special Run model produced for the Japanese domestic market. Unlike the much more common Hybrid II series introduced years later, this guitar belongs to the original first-generation Hybrid lineup and is rarely seen outside Japan. The transparent red quilted maple top gives it a premium look that really stands out in person, while combining classic Telecaster character with modern playability and exceptional Japanese craftsmanship.

This 2018 Fender FSR MIJ Hybrid '60s Telecaster is in good overall condition with honest cosmetic wear throughout. There is a noticeable finish chip along the body edge, along with various scratches, dings, and signs of regular use (please refer to the photos). There is also a small chip on the lower edge of the fingerboard around the 3rd fret. None of these cosmetic imperfections affect playability in any way.

Freshly professionally set up by our tech, it plays effortlessly with comfortable low action, excellent intonation, and is ready for years of reliable use.

The guitar retains its original pickups and electronics. It also features matching factory H60TL-JP stamps on both the neck heel and the body, confirming the originality of the neck and body. Tonally, it delivers everything you'd expect from a great Telecaster - full, punchy, articulate, and loaded with classic twang while remaining versatile enough for virtually any style of music.

The frets are in outstanding condition with virtually no visible wear, no divots, and plenty of life remaining.

A beautiful-looking, great-playing Japanese Fender that offers premium looks, excellent craftsmanship, and classic Tele tone in one package.

The following work has been done: full fretboard conditioning with lemon oil, fret polish, pickup height adjustment for balance and clarity, and a fresh set of D’Addario 10-46s installed. String height at the 12th fret on the low E is right at 2.2 mm - set for comfortable playability.
