The Oberheim Matrix-6 (released in 1985) is a classic 6-voice analog polyphonic synthesizer. Famous for bringing the deep "Matrix Modulation" routing of the flagship Matrix-12 into a more accessible package, it relies on Digitally Controlled Oscillators (DCOs) for tuning stability while maintaining a lush, distinctly vintage 1980s analog sound.
