Salsa / Latin Jazz / Cuban music fanatics! The Stradavarius of basses. OG 1964 Ampeg Baby Bass but with a few extras. This Baby is in amazing shape, fingerboard was just worked on, action is great with no buzzes, electronics cleaned out and no splits in the seams. Important to note the orignal Ampeg pickup IS included, however currently installed is a modern pickup system designed and built by luthier George Vasilou here in Toronto. If you're looking for that huge punch for modern salsa and timba then this is it! You can very easily swap between both pickups, direct drop in. Lastly, the original aluminum bridge broke many years ago and replaced with a wooden bridge by Ray Ramirez.
