Vintage early 1900's Western Electric "Candlestick" type microphone. This style was also used as the early telephone handsets and were originally all painted black, top to bottom. On this unit, we stripped off the old black paint, removed the old rotted wiring and repainted in a more attractive two-tone gold and black scheme. We also removed the old carbon element and installed a dynamic capsule, so now this mic can be used with any modern system, (no external power needed.) Check out the voice sample included in the listing video. The mic is wired to a 4 foot cable with standard 1/4" male phono plug. Felt pads have been added to the base. Total height on this piece is 13"
