We have received a 325JL John Lennon Special Edition, manufactured in 1990,

as evidenced by the included certificate of authenticity.

Produced from 1989 to 1993 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of John Lennon’s birth,

this limited edition consists of three models—the short-scale “325JL,” the regular-scale “355JL,”

and the 12-string “355-12JL”—with a total production run of just 2,000 units.

This is the model John Lennon loved from the early days of The Beatles right through to the end.

It’s compact with a short scale, lightweight thanks to its hollow body, and above all, it looks cool.

Truly a guitar that needs no introduction!

Compared to the lineup of that era, this model features a modified headstock shape

and uses flat-head screws for the truss rod cover.

At the heart of its sound are three Toaster pickups.

The previous owner purchased this guitar out of admiration for John at the time.

Rather than playing it, he reportedly enjoyed taking the guitar out of its silver hard case,

hanging it on a stand, and gazing at it while listening to his favorite Beatles records and CDs.

While there are some minor scratches and dents, there is almost no clouding or sticky finish—

issues commonly found on older Rickenbackers.

The pickguard featuring John’s illustration has faded slightly due to aging.

The frets and nut still have plenty of height remaining,

and the truss rod turns smoothly in both directions.

There are signs that the guitar underwent extensive maintenance

at a domestic distributor, including the replacement of the pickups and assembly with new parts.

Currently, the neck has no significant warping and is easy to play.

This is a limited-edition 325JL, a model that has become increasingly rare on the market.

Overseas prices are selling at surprisingly high averages.
